HCA Ch. Destiny's Maximillian ROM
(Owned by Ric & Linda Cosner)
Destiny Havanese was born when Liz Vargo decided to purchase a Havanese dog from Dorothy Goodale's Havana Doll House in 1981. Liz had previously bred & shown a variety of breeds (Weimaraners, Brittanies, Doberman Pinschers) and was especially known for her Tarr Hill Beagles & Harriers, which were consistently in the Top 10 Show rankings for their breeds for a period of many years. From 1982, Liz either bred or owned the Top Havanese Show Dog in the country for the next 10 years. She was the first Havanese Club of America Register of Merit Breeder and is a former President of the HCA. Changes in goals and lifestyle in the early 1990's resulted in a drastic reduction in breeding, with Liz turning her attention to judging rather than exhibiting; but she never lost her enthusiasm and love for raising a litter of puppies, and recently began to breed again...with the emphasis on producing beautiful healthy pets for loving homes. Those puppies she chooses to keep are now exclusively handled in the show ring by junior handler Chris Mills. Every Destiny puppy goes to it's new home with AKC papers and pedigree; complete health records from my veterinarian; a crate, collar and leash; the proper brush for grooming; and a 2 weeks supply of puppy food. If the puppy has to be shipped, Destiny will pay HALF of the shipping cost. And every Destiny puppy carries a full 6 year health guarantee.
